Got a wisdom tooth removed.

Went to a Suicide Prevention Retreat. Left early. Am writing a surrealist true-story narrative about that experience.

Applied to do a Master of Screen Arts next year (?!)

Spent Christmas and Old Year's Day in the Wairarapa. Set off fireworks on a foggy night.

Made some New Year's Resolutions: #1. No more Burger King. #2. Travel to a part of the country I have never been to before.

Did a day of haircuts-for-trades at Garrett Street.

Stayed in an old stables in Ōtaki

Survived Mercury Retrograde (just)

Building a community archive to record + store the history of 13 Garrett Street, a converted warehouse building where I used to live.

Held a really successfull fundraising gig for that archive.

Made a couple new zines for said Zinefest.

Marked 1 year anniversary with Sunny.

Managed to get a series of B12 injections even though I have a needle phobia!

July

Helped run Wellington Zinefest 'Trade Wars' Market.

Visited Ruapehu

June

Travelled to Ōtepoti to visit YOURS, an Anarchist co-op. It was very cool. I screened my short film 'Nobody WINZ' and met a number of disgruntled Work and Income employees.

Burned an Ashen Faggot to mark midwinter.

May

At the moment I am:

Spending a lot of time surfing the internet as I re-discover the indie web. Learning to do HTML badly.

Taking a big huge break from working in the film industry. I am thinking about how I can translate my incomplete film projects into other formats. i.e. how can I make stuff without it being soooo expensive and resource intensive?

Raising my cute puppy Sunny

Healing up. Recovering from Long Covid and Autistic Burnout.

Marking Gaelic seasonal transitions. In the Southern Hemisphere we've just had Samhain, which marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of Winter. It's also the time to remember the dead, so I went and visited my great-great-grandparents graves in Taamaki-nui-a-Rua / Dannevirke. .
